Welcome to the Marion Post This is a dedicated website for the Marion community — Marion, McGregor Lake, Kila, and the Highway 2 West corridor. No data is tracked or sold. No algorithm decides what you see. Posts show up in order, for everyone — nothing gets buried, nothing gets boosted, and no feed is trying to keep you angry or scrolling. The goal is more freedom than Facebook. One house rule: this is a place for local news, not political fights — there are plenty of other places on the internet for that. Roads, schools, lost dogs, what's for sale, who needs help. That's the beat. This is a self-funded project built to connect neighbors and local businesses. It will never become a website full of ads. If ads are ever added, they'll be strictly Marion-area businesses, and the money will go to server costs and upgrades — nothing else. Eggs, beef, crafts, firewood — buyers pay you directly, we take nothing Classifieds — buy and sell, no fees Events, news, obituaries, and a community feed You don't need an account to read anything. Make one (free) if you want to post, comment, or open a store. Your real name stays private — the community only sees your nickname. Want to write? Students, amateur journalists, retirees who go to every board meeting — anyone who wants a platform to cover local happenings gets a free one here.
